Unwind (2019)
Deformation and reformation often appear as conflicting in human history in times when current practices and codes were discredited and to be substituted by a ‘better’ and more ‘civilised’ solution - denial of the former justifies the latter.
A visual representation approach of anti-language is adopted here through the deformation of ‘branded’ objects, exposing the paradoxical element of the use of language - a constructive tool by nauture - in the process of deformation through fragmentation.
In Unwind, I continued my quest put forth in my previous practice - would the process of eliminating these features create new identities, or would the nature of the objects simply be revealed?
